TOEFL and GRE Tests Rules

Test takers are expected to pay attention to the following rules and regulations:

 

1. Arrive at the center at least one hour before the test start time.

 

2. Bring one of the following valid IDs with a recently taken photo of yours:

  • National ID card
  • Birth certificate
  • Valid passport
  • Valid driving license

 

3. It is forbidden to have and use any kind of food and drinks during the test, except for the 10-minute mandatory break. Catering is provided in the break; thus, it is unnecessary to bring anything to eat.

 

4. It is forbidden to have any bags, books, pamphlets, cellphones (even turned off), paper, calculators, pens or pencils, fake or original jewelry, necklaces, rings, bracelets, earrings, wristwatches (even plastic ones), coins, headsets, sanitizers, tissues, raincoats, coats, and jackets in the testing room. Therefore, test takers are asked to place the abovementioned items and other necessary stuff such as jackets and backpacks inside the lockers. The testing room temperature is well-adjusted; therefore, the test takers are expected to avoid bringing any extra clothes.

 

5. After entering the test center, test takers should put their documents and stuff inside the lockers existed in the waiting room, read the confidentiality statement carefully, and then sign it. They should keep hold of the signed form and give it to the respective TCA.

 

6. If there are any technical problems, test takers must only raise their hands to inform the test center staffs.

 

7. According to the ETS regulations, talking with each other and using cellphones during the break would be considered a violation.

 

8. The GRE test takers are advised to write down the codes of designated universities before entering the test center to facilitate reporting at the end of the test. They should also show the list of codes to the respective TCA while entering the testing room.
